Sonoma County DV Help, a program of Voices Against Domestic Violence Network, is a victim-centered organization that provides direct services to survivors of domestic violence. As such, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy for all who seek our support.

Be assured that all personally identifiable information, communications, and details about your use of our services are handled with strict confidentiality. Limits of Confidentiality

 

In rare situations, and as required by law, we are obligated to disclose information. We want you to be fully aware of these legal limits to our confidentiality. Your personal information and communications will not be shared without your explicit consent, except under the following conditions:

• Mandated Reporting: We are legally required to report suspected child abuse, elder abuse, or abuse of a dependent adult to the appropriate authorities.

• Court Order: If we receive a valid and enforceable subpoena from a court of law, we may be compelled to disclose certain information.

• Imminent Harm: If we believe you are at immediate risk of harming yourself or others, we are legally and ethically obligated to take action to ensure the safety of all parties involved.
